Catholic Schools’ Week

Catholic Schools’ Week was celebrated in St. Joseph’s P.S. beginning with a celebration of the work of St Brigid. The children brought in rushes and made St Brigid’s crosses, carrying on an Irish tradition that is almost 1600 years old. The week ended with a special Mass in the school hall. The crosses were blessed by Fr Greg and each family was presented with one for their home. We were delighted to see so many parents, grandparents and the wider parish community present at our very special Mass.
