Afterschool Heartstart Club

The P5-7 children enjoyed a series of afterschool Heartstart sessions where they were able to learn the basics of how to save a life.  Vital skills such as checking for signs of life, coping with choking & bleeding, putting a patient into the recovery position and administering CPR were all covered.  We were delighted that all who participated achieved  Level 3 and, while we hope they never need to use these skills,  it has hopefully provided them with the knowledge and skills on what to do in an medical emergency.
