Bird Study with Churchill PS

As part of our Shared Education programme, the P1-4 children joined with the children from Churchill PS to learn about birds. The workshop was facilitated by Stephen from Speedwell, Parkanaur, as part of the SET project. The children worked in groups to identify common birds frequently seen in our playground. These include chaffinches, great tits, blue tits and thrushes.   The children had the opportunity to make bird feeders to help the birds through the cold winter months, They particularly enjoyed working together to make food foe the birds and then going outside to list all of the birds they could see.
