Cancer Focus Visit to St. Joseph's

A representative from Cancer Focus visited the school to raise awareness of the importance of having a healthy lifestyle to avoid cancer. The KS2 children completed the "Smokebuster" programme which highlighted the dangers and unpleasantness of smoking and passive smoking. P3/4 participated in the "Fit Factor" programme  and were introduced to the importance of light, moderate and intense exercise as being important factors to having a healthy body. P1 and 2 were introduced to the character Genevieve, who had some important healthy messages to deliver.
