Maths Week fun
Today the Student Council designed and set up two outdoor maths investigations to help their class do some interesting and fun maths while being active.
Firstly they wanted to know what was the average baskets scored in Basketball for the class. They allowed everyone 10 shots, tallied the results and recorded the score as a fraction and percentage for each person. Then they found the average baskets for the class.ðŸ€
The second activity was based on hopscotch, but each throw of the dice involved a maths problem. The children tried to complete the snake hopscotch within a time limit while solving the maths.ðŸ
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and exercised both their body and mind!
Well done Student Council!
