Multi-sensory Learning in Foundation Stage
5th Jun 2024
Research shows that learning through more than one sense can help children take on new learning and embed learning. This includes using senses - sight, auditory, touch and movement.
P1 and 2 love to play phonics games, like "say the sound, then knock it down!" Phonics skills with physical movement and target games are more fun when there's a competition!
In their number game the pupils had to recognise the given number, hit the target with a bean bag and then perform a physical activity that number of times. What fun! Active learning at its best!
