P4-7 Habitats Study at Parkanaur
As part of our shared Education programme with Churchiil PS P4-7 attended a Habitats study in Parkanaur. The day began with a group finding out and sharing activity about the animals which we might find in the forest. There were stuffed animals to examine and talk about. We had some team bonding exercises and then it was out to the forest to explore.
Our leader, Stephen, guided us around the forest where we found a fox den, badger sett and explored the birds and minibeasts in the forest and deer park. We even tried to build a shelter using natural material!
After lunch, we explored a pond habitat and did some measuring activities with trees. Although the rain started in the afternoon, it did not dampen our spirits and we returned to school happy and full of enthusiasm , eager to explore our own school habitat.
