School Trip to Belfast Zoo
We had a brilliant day at Belfast Zoo. The children started the day in the Education Centre where they were able to see and handle some animals - including a python! We made our way around the giraffe, zebra and ostrich enclosure before enjoying looking at the cheeky monkeys! The flamboyant flamingos looked fantastic in the sunshine. The elephants and gorillas were enjoying feeding time when we saw them, which made us all feel hungry too! We enjoyed an alfresco picnic overlooking Belfast Lough. After viewing the lazy lions basking in the sun we were entertained by the lively penguins and relaxed for a bit while we urged the enormous sea-lions to dive, dive, dive into the cool waters! Our tour concluded with a play in the fabulous park. A great day was had by all!
