The Big Screen Time Debate
As part of Safer Internet Day, some of the KS2 children took part in a lively debate about screen time. One group argued that screen time is good because it helps children learn, allows them to communicate with their friends and helps with research. Where would we all have been during lockdown without our screens? The against screens group argued that screen time was damaging to children's physical health, especially eyes, necks and blood pressure! They also pointed to how unfit children are who don't get enough exercise. They also thought it reduced children's social skills and could be used for bullying. What do you think? Should screen time for children be reduced? The recommendations are two hours a day in total! Maybe adults need to think about screen time too!!
